Visiting the yards
Wristbands and purchase on the day tickets will be available at most of the opening yards on the morning of the open day.
The racing yards will be open throughout the morning in Malton and the outlying area between 08.45 and 12.00. The full list of yards open can be found here.
The fun doesn’t stop there…
This year, Racing Welfare has linked up with York Racecourse to allow those attending Malton Open Day the opportunity to purchase reduced-priced tickets to attend the YorkMix Family Sunday, allowing attendees to see the journey from the training yard to the racecourse. Pre-book your tickets to the combined event now.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale here and are priced at £10 for Malton Open Day attendees, and £17.50 for those booking combined tickets. Tickets can be bought on the day at the open stables, cash is preferred but card machine facilities are at the yards of Richard Fahey, John & Sean Quinn, Craig Lidster and Mick & David Easterby.
Combined tickets permit entry into Malton Open Day from 8.45am – 12noon and entry into the YorkMix Family Sunday Grandstand and Paddock Enclosures. Under-18s can attend both events free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult.
Travel and Car Parking
Please note that no shuttle buses are running between yards this year, and all of the yards opening their gates have designated parking locations to ensure that you aren’t wasting your valuable time on shuttle buses. Please see the Open Yards page for more information on each yard opening and the postcodes for each parking location.
Accessibility
All yards opening for ARC Malton Open Day are accessible for wheelchair users and mobility scooters.
Dogs
Dogs are permitted to attend but must be kept on a lead at all times and any waste cleared and disposed of correctly.
